My UAE

Wow!  It has been waaaaay too long since I posted.  I can officially say I survived a school year in the desert.  So, I decided to post before I make this journey to America.  Over the past few months, I have not explored any other countries, but have taken advantage of my current surroundings.  This is MY UAE:

Reading Day at School

Game Night in the Villas

The PINK Party (although neither of us wore pink)

Day Party at the Palace

Desert Life

Dune Bashing

Camel Riding

Sand Boarding

Quad Bike Riding

At the top of Burj Khalifa

Visiting the Grand Mosque when Kristin came to visit (my first real visitor)

Emirate's Palace

Emirate's Palace

Ethiad Towers

Ceiling of Emirate's Palace

Cappuccino with Golden Flakes at Emirate's Palace

Kristin enjoying High Tea at Emirate's Palace (I am fasting because of Ramadan so I didn't participate)

This has been a wonderful experience.  I look forward to another year of learning about new cultures, meeting people from different cultures, traveling, and just living.  I never imagined I would end up playing in a sandbox as an adult, but this desert heat has taught me so much about myself and life in general.

P.S. - A problem I have always had as a teacher it that I have attachment issues.  We have been sitting in school for weeks without the children, and to be honest, I miss my babies.

Do not judge me but I might be teaching them again next year (attachment issues).  But until then, America.....I'm coming home!
